Our Model

We have adopted a model that is somewhat like a CSA - but a bit different. We understand that plans change, you will go on vacations, and that there might be times that you may not want or be able to use the produce that we have to offer that week. For all these reasons and more, we decided that we would not ask for up front fees or season long commitments. Instead we work on a week to week basis. You can place an order one week and skip the next. We leave it completely up to you!

Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE the CSA model, but this modified version works a bit better for our small scale operation.

How to Order:

Just as last season, we will be putting together pre-filled boxes with a mix of the produce we have available each week. Each week we will be sending out an email (typically Tuesday or Wednesday) to let everyone know what the weekly box will include and the price of the box. If you would like to purchase a box that week, all you have to do is email us at ikigai.farm@gmail.com with your order. We will then deliver your box to you that weekend. Yes, we deliver these boxes to you and as we are hoping to make this as convenient as possible for you.

Please note: Everything will be sold on a first come first serve basis so we do ask that everyone submits their order by email to make this all as fair as possible.

Delivery:

We aim to harvest the produce for each box within 24 hours of delivery. Because of this, we will be making deliveries on the weekends, most likely Saturdays, when we will have guaranteed time to harvest. After we have received all orders for the week, we will plan our delivery route. We will then reach out to you directly confirm that the planned delivery date/time works for you. Please note that delivery is limited to locations within ~25 miles from our place in Wheat Ridge. Arrangements can certainly be made to meet at a central location.

Price:

The price of these boxes may vary slightly from week to week depending on the contents but will most likely be around $25-$35 and will include delivery. Payment is collected upon delivery. We can accept cash, card, PayPal or Venmo.

Other Details:

We are flexible! If there is something in the box that you are not interested in or would like more of, we will do our best to accommodate requests based upon produce availability. We also are willing to do smaller and or custom orders if you are not interested in the weekly box however again this will depend on produce availability and may be subject to a small delivery fee if the order total is less than $25.

We do also just want to note that while we are not a certified organic farm, we do practice organic farming. Everything we grow is non-GMO and we never spay or use any pesticides or herbicides.
